I have been using nonP5 specific brushes for my MP5 variants, not the “MP5 specific” brushes.

Have also not had a need for MP5 specific armorers tools/ feeler gauges but should have them on hand.

Is it best to buy the full cleaning kit or just the two specific brushes?
Is it best to get an armorers kit like from HKparts.net or just buy a set of feeler gauges/ use feeler gauges I already have?

I picked up a feeler gauge from my local hardware store and have been using a 9mm bore snake for cleaning.

The Breech face brush is handy but bore snakes, a toothbrush, and a rag.. some brake cleaner, and a bottle of oil of your preference.

Any 9mm type cleaning kit will work really.

If your feeler gauges are good, no need to change.

The only specialty items I have is for cleaning the flutes and chamber face. Links are examples, you may find cheaper elsewhere
