My SP89 has the original #16 locking piece (110 degree).  I understand that HK settled on the 100 degree locking piece as the 'correct' one when not running a stock and can.  Does anyone know what issue caused the switch?  Was it better compatibility with certain rounds?  I only use 124gr NATO and 147gr sub-sonics

I've always assumed they switched to the 100 as a bridge between the 110 and the 80, so that end users wouldn't have to change LP's when switching on the fly between suppressed and unsupressed.

I know of some PDW conversions that won't run well with a 100 LP though and switching to a 110 cleans them up. The K guns are just very ammo sensitive and the LP can play a role in that.

This is my sp5k with stock locking piece on full auto, I wanna try an 80 and see what it does. I've seen others post they used an 80 without silencer and had no issues.
