I have a question about thee barrel on the mp5 clones. Are they held in by a just a pin? If so, would it be better to replace the barrel when I get the gun SBR'd or just sent it back and have them remove the fake can. I am kicking around the clone idea, but I would have to apply and make it a SBR. I don't care for the 16" barrel to much. Any help would be great. Thanks, oxfordpony

The pin is part of it: the 12 ton press is the other to get it out, and you can ruin a receiver if you don't do it right. The barrel has to be inserted to the correct depth for correct headspace, and of course orientation determines front sight centering. I would leave barrel work to a pro, like ARS, and any number of others.
