"If you own a gun that goes into this case your gun MUST be registered as an AOW before buying!!!!" Can anyone explain why this is? |
| An AOW (Any Other Weapon) is a concealable firearm that is NOT a handgun... ex. cane gun, belt buckle gun, palm pistol, a "handgun" that does not have a protruding grip (such as when placed into a wallet that allows the weapon to be fired without removal) and a handgun with two grips (typically a forward handgrip)... handguns by FEDERAL law are defined as being designed to be fired with one hand. A SEMI-AUTO HK SP89 pistol for ex. in a covert case needs to be registered as a AOW to be legal. The ad should have also added that the weapon should should be either a fulll-auto registered under the NFA OR a registered AOW... no other paperwork is needed to use a HK MP5K etc etc in a covert case... |
