Since there is no tacked thread with a chart, which clone is the least expensive to get running correctly?

2. Already made clone off the EE

3. Parts kit and HK builder

1. Cohaire/ SW / Bobcat ($1,100 from Coharie)
1a. MKE gun, w/ limitations)($1,300-$1,500)
2. Already made clone off the EE ($1,600-$2,600)
3. Parts kit and HK builder ($1,600-$2,000)
4. HK94 Converted ($4,000-$5,500)
5. Real MP5 (???)

The MKE guns are running $1,300-$1,500 and are reported to operate very well. But they won't take a full auto carrier so I consider them somewhat overpriced.

If you are looking for a semi-auto plinker then the Turkish made MKE clones is what i would get. They are made on HK tooling and work well out of the box from what i've heard. Just too bad they don't work with a registered trigger pack, so i won't be buying one. I went with Cohaire and replaced the internal parts with HK and i'm very happy. I also like the fact the Cohaire has the three lug barrels for my suppressor.

will the Turkish guns accept REAL MP5 mags though?  I thought they are stuck with proprietary mags?

I only care because I am stuck in NY and need "preban" mags yet.

The pistol versions will use HK mags. They had to put a limiter type block on the rifle.

Buy this one. It's a friend over on HKPro and he put German bolt group (POF carrier) in it...

Just with a small investment of an original and complete HK bolt head my Bobcat FS is running at darn near 99.9 percent of the time.  I would take an american made product add some original HK parts and get down the road or have someone build you a 94 clone before spending the green on a Turkish made and altered gun.   The bobcat is i nice gun, i have kept the gun in its original factory condition and added a BT side folder and a HK bolt head and the gun is sweet.

If you want full HK parts interchangability and the ability to ever run an auto sear/use as a sear host, you need a earlier coharie version.

Are you talking about  built up BMP 's on the low end and real german kit 's built up on the $2600 end?

Just the other day had a chance at an original HK 94  in about 95 percent NRA for 3400.00 dollars and then i reflect on what i paid for the bobcat back in 2005 for 1400.00 and with an investment of 200.00 for a bolt head and some factory HK and POF magazines the gun is good to go. I just kick myself for not buying a 94A2 back in 1986 when they were just 650.00 out the door.  I remember Colt had reduced the 6450 for 250.00 bucks back then because everyone wanted a Uzi of 94 and the Colt was stuck with little no sales.  I bought two colts for the cabin back in 1988 for weekend escapes with friends and family which really paid off when the ban hit in 89.

Retro,

just wondering if there are any other players out there in the parts game.
There is  RCM, but I don't know a thing about the  quality of their products.
I'm thinking about getting ghilly to build one.

Reports on RCM stuff are good. For domestic stuff you're got them and Black Market Parts, which is part of Coharie.

I just figured i am going to sell my Bobcat after i take care of taxes this year with the IRS and go look for a real HK 94 and quit dancing around this issue, Bought original 9mm Colts and IMI Uzi' s and that was the way to go, maybe by June this year a German Hk will be on the range at the next local arfcom shoot.

prexis makes a gun called the p7 or p9 p7 is in 7.62x25 and p9 in 9mm it is a builder kit and requires a g3 lower but the lower doesnt have to be clipped and pinned just converted to semi auto also you have to bend the upper from a flat but the kit is only 500 plus 60 for the sef lower
