Is this even possible?

I found this receiver at Atlantic Firearms.  Then there's something like this parts kit that I found on Gunbroker.

Any idea what kind of build this would be?  Any welding, etc necessary?  Or is it more along the lines of a simple AR build?

Thanks for any advice!

You'll need to do some welding and some work to the trigger assembly to make it a semi. Not overly hard if your a good welder and get soem pointers on headspacing the front trunion. I'd recommend getting everything you listed and send it to a quality builder, should make a great gun.

Having fired a real MP-5 (arguably better than sex), I can't imagine a long barreled semi-auto version would be worth the trouble.  The fake surpressor on the .22 rf version isn't very convincing.
The need to jump thru' SBR hoops to get the actual length of many really  interesting weapons  is a problem.

I would SBR it in very short fashion - no pun intended.
