Looking for the 3-lug flash hider. I used to see a ton of these at relatively cheap prices, but now that I want one, no luck.

Who has some in stock?

Also, are these all genuine HK, or are there copies out there that I have to watch out for?

www.hkparts.net/5.htm
www.hkspecialist.net/small.htm

Not cheap, but these are genuine and should be in stock. Both excellent to deal with.

I got mine from a guy here in the EE and got it for a great price. You might want to look there first otherwise any of the two above would be good guys to deal with.

I may have a spare MKE (Turkish) made one I'll part with.

Slightly OT, but for an MP5/40 in particular, should the FH be a tad loose? I can twist it ever so slightly. Does this indicate excessive wear on the lugs? This FH came with the parts kit I got from Adam.

have you shot it yet? I have a 9mm and the flash hider was able to be removed with a twist of the hand, now that I have put some rounds through it the thing is tight as hell to the point were I am wondering how I am going to get it off to clean it.

Haven't shot it yet. It's with IGF being put together.

If yours is/was that loose, it might be for the 40 cal/10mm variant. When I got mine, it was definitely well used. Took a bit of work with a jewelers flathead to clear some crap away from the latch, but it was still as loose as after removing and cleaning..

It is for a 9mm, the hole in it is WAY to small to accommodate a 40.

Try dousing it in CLP/Break Free or PB Blaster. I have had problems sometimes with silencers doing this after a lot of rounds through them and have to really soak them down with solvents to get them off and apart to clean before.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
