Check out Page 19 of this ATF 2008 Report: http://www.atf.gov/statistics/download/afmer/2008-firearms-manufacturers-export-report.pdf 5,244 Rifles manufactured by MSAR in 2008 alone. First rifles made by MSAR sold in 2007. So I'm guessing about 10,000 to 15,000 MSAR rifles in total manufactured? I believe in 2009 MSAR increased production to keep up with the inflated demand early that year created by Obama panic so it's possible I guess that there could be more than 15,000 MSAR rifles manufactured to date. I believe production is reported to have dropped to nill in early 2010, but 2007, 2008, and 2009 seem to have been busy years. To put that in perspective there are 19,000 active duty members of Austria's military. So MSAR literally produce enough rifles to arm a small european Military.

i know individuals in the u.s. that buy more firepower in a year than some small nations. :)
the figue i have heard from two in the know sources is 18,000 msar rifles have been produced. current serial numbers are in the low 10k to 11k range and there have been quite a few numbered with special edition serial numbers. although not all receivers may be actual rifles yet and not all rifles may have left msar there is no doubt at least 12k to 13k msar rifles are in circulation Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
