Guys, I have a Gen II MSAR STG.  It has the round retainer for the reciever and Fwd Assist.  I bought a used gen III stock with a square retainer.

I believe I have to get the reciever machined to fit correct?

It can be used in an E4 with no issues correct?

Thanks for the help guys.

In a pinch you can install a round receiver lock in a square lock stock and it will work.

I thought you did that in the past. I was looking for that post but could not find it and didn't remember if it worked out correctly so I didn't post that info.

BTW how tight did it hold the receiver into the stock? The reason I am asking is that my stock is getting loose. I can pull back on the FG and pull the receiver into the stock about 1/8". I stuck the receiver in Jenns stock and my spare Gen1 stock and it is tight. I am thinking the cross bar is gettign some wear on it causing it to get loose. All of ours are the Gen1 and Gen2 stocks.
