What are people using for a sling on their MSAR STG-556s?  I tried my VCAS that I use on my ARs but found that it interferes too much with the charging handle.  I'm considering trying a single point.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try looping the sling under and just behind the folding front grip.  That works perfectly for me with the Vickers Sling.

I'm using the Giles 3-point for now but I'm considering switching to a single point, maybe a Chalker harness.  The gun is short enough not to bang me in the nuts on the transition, so it might work really well with the Chalker rig.

The balance on the STG is a little weird for a single point.  I'm currently using a 5.11 single point sling with mixed results.  Ive got it mounted with one strap around the stock just forward of the forward assist.  Then I ran a second strap from the bottom of the buttstock and through the first mounting point to take a little of the flop out.  Still not sure how i like it...

A rear sling adapter might help.

Scroll down a little until you see the adapter for the STG.

I've seen the Urban ERT adapter and I have one of his two point/single point slings so I could try that relatively cheap.  I'll have to try looping my Vickars under the forward grip.  Could you post a pic of what that looks like so I can see what you're doing?

I just tried this myself and it works surprisingly well (not perfect, but better for me than a single point) and keeps the charging handle clear. I'll post some pics by this weekend.

I just got our STG slings in. I ordered 2 Urban-Sentry Hybrid sling kits. We also got the extra quick attach swivel stud and the belt loop weapon catch adapter.

Install was pretty easy. I decided to get the extra quick attachment for the front of the weapon as it has less webbing and it straight plug and play.

I really must say they are the most comfortable single point sling I have ever worn! I did try one out in the 2 point and was not unhappy at all. I just like the single point more. I do like the ability to convert it to a two point in a couple of mins.

I say give them a try. The video doesn't do the slings justice as for the construction of them. They are very well made slings.

I will post a few close up pics as I get time later today.

Here are the pics I promised; one shows my son's STG w/a GearSector ASP single point sling and one showing my STG w/a std silent sling going over the top of the rifle then down and back behind the VFG yet in front of the trigger guard. While I like how the ASP doesn't interfere with the charging handle I find the STG's weight to the rear makes it less stable than most other rifles w/single point slings. W/the silent sling carried AK-style (over the neck) I find it hangs better for me (YMMV) yet is just as fast to get into action.

Here's how the silent sling wraps around, under & behind:
