Will Steyr mags fit the MSAR?

Not without a slight mod. The MSAR will fit the AUG though. Just a slight dremel mod. You can also dremel the MSAR stock to take Steyr mags but that would technically void your warranty.

I haven't had much luck in getting the AUG mags to run in the STG nor the STG mags to run reliable in my AUG.

Since I already had a bunch of AUG mags, thinking I would save a few bucks I modified a few with a dremel tool so they would fit the STG stock. I had no luck with them functioning 100% of the time. It seems that the STG mags are thinner then the AUG mags.

Same thing with the STG mags, they too don't function 100% of the time in my Steyr AUG. Seems that the angle of the follower or something is different.

If you want 100% reliability one has to stick with the mags that was designed for that rifle.

Has anyone got a Beta C-mag to run in their STG 556 rifle?

I'm still trying to find a source for more STG-556 magazines.

Ususally someone on Sturm has some for sale.   Just one more reason I think I'll go TPD.... MSAR seems to have fiddled with the design enough to keep AUG owners fucked and have to but proprietary parts. Not cool.

Last time I checked Midwest Gun Exchange had a bunch of black 30 round MSAR mags that are great mags.

I ordered four of the black 42rd mags from RSR Group when my MSAR finally came in off of backorder.  So, they at least have SOME mags in stock.  Dealer price was $32 IIRC.

Hope this helps.  The MSAR mags are nicely made, that's for sure.  Its a good thing for them, since their main competitor uses M16 mags, if the MSAR mags sucked it would drive people to the TPD AXR in droves.

Yes, I'm using my MSAR mags for the AUG A3 if it ever comes out and doesn't come out with the AR stock option.  I like them a lot better than my original AUG mags.
