Ran about a thousand through mine in a few months and have since settled down. It was 100% reliable, so as far as I'm concerned the rifle has proved itself to me at this point, and 5.56 is so expensive that I've slowed down shooting all of my guns in that caliber.
I have four ARs which are mostly sitting there now, I shot 50 rounds through one the other day and it felt like a big splurge. At current replacement cost, the 30 round mag and the 20 round mag I emptied cost me more than dinner for the wife and I later that night! |

I've put about half that total much through mine, all Privi Partisan M193, zero malfunctions or failures. RE: Cost of ammo: I'll be shooting my Henry .22 lever action more as well as my Winchester 94 w/ .38 specials. It's not just the cost of the ammo; it's the availability. Finding ammo at ANY price is hard these days. |
