But here is a real live unregistered baby-bunny-killing machine gun that I did own at one time. No - not the stock or the barrel. Not even the gismo below the barrel. ATF decided just the spring all by it's little self was the machine gun, and that I had to surrender it or face persecution, or prostitution, or something.

So Ernie at SOCOM, the 07/02 who came up with the idea, made and sold a bunch of them. Then ATF changed its mind, reclassified them as post-sample MGs in and of themselves, and started knocking on doors collecting them ....

I managed to get a deal on a Colt M16 and accumulate a collection of other stuff that probably puts everything in the $40k-50k range, but that's like $120k-140k of machine guns there. What do you do and what did I do wrong??!? Serious props man My meager contribution. Lots of similarities between our guns.
