Magazine Fed Lever Action .22 LR Carbine: Derya TM22 LA

Anyone here have one?

I have a Henry H001 that’s magazine fed.  Now, it’s a tubular magazine, not a detachable box style magazine, but nonetheless still mag fed.

Oh man, please be terrible. I really don’t need another .22

Just buy a Henry

I already have a Henry and a Rossi.

They’re both great but loading them through the tube gets annoying after awhile.
Loading through a regular mag seems easier so I ordered one

Like the one I had that keyholed from the factory and when I sent it back to be rebarreled they sent it to me with all of the screws gummed up like some drunk monkey reassembled it?

Never again with Henry.

Why does it have what appears to be a tubular magazine when its magazine fed?

At that price trying it is a no-brainer. Let us know how it is compared to the Henry.

Perhaps when Ruger decides to put a lever on their 10/22....

Wondering this as well. They could at least have made the tube shorter so there would be clearance for a can.

Seems a bit different then the one shown in video. Said it was going to have a 20 inch barrel but it is an 18.5 we are getting. The mag tube has been shortened to shorter than the barrel. But in the video it showed it with some sort of Allen key set up so most likely it's completely removable. Doesn't seem drill and tapped but can't tell but that rail with the rear sight is kind of stupid.

Maybe they could call the resulting rifle something different, like a...96/22?

13 years they made those things before giving up on it. Sometimes I kinda wish I had kept the one I owned for awhile.

Edited to add: I don't need it, but I can see myself getting one of these new things, assuming that reports from the first people to buy them aren't one big story of fail.

Edited again:

Y'know, after thinking it over, you're right. At that price, trying it is a no-brainer. Went ahead and ordered one.

Picked mine up after my commie state’s mandatory 10 day wait.
Also picked up a Rossi RB22 Compact to go along with it.

Both are cleaned/lubed and bore sighted for this coming weekend.

You mean when they decide to put a lever on their 10/22 again.

Look up the Ruger 96

I'd love a new run of those.

That Derya is ugly

Well with the popularity of lever actions maybe they will bring it back.  I'm sure they still have the tooling to make the parts.

Then again they just bought out Marlin and have been making them, so maybe they don't want to hurt their marlin sales.

You definitely need to give a range report on the RB22 compact. I have been eyeing one as a rifle for the fiance for her to use my suppressor with. Wanted the full size for me but they don't come threaded and the Citadel trackr doesn't seem to be made threaded anymore.

Shot both rifles this morning with no issues. 200 rounds of CCI SV through each and 75 rounds of the 710 fps CCI Quiets.  Used a EA Nyx Mod 2 in short on the TM22 and Ecco Salamander on the Rossi.

I have a small backyard range at my parent’s place.  At 20-25 yards I have 1.5”-3” metal spinners.  Both rifles are accurate enough to hit them although I had to turn the dots down enough to hit the 1.5” ones.

I wish the TM22 had a 16” barrel instead of a 20”.  It also has a grip safety that I don’t like.  You have to grip the lever tight against the stock in order to pull the trigger.  After the last round the mag follower prevents the bolt from sliding forward just like my Ruger Ranch in 300 BO.

Really no complaints about the Rossi other than the really short stock. Perfect for younger shooters. It comes with only 1 mag but ended up buying and using RS 22 mags (semi auto version) so I can have LRBHO just like the TM22.  In order to mount the optic I had to buy a dovetail to picatinny mount off of Amazon for about $15.  I enjoyed shooting this rifle more than the lever.  It’s lighter and short so it’s easier to point and shoot.

Just a heads up on two things.

If you want to find more mags you can look for Mossberg 702/802 mags. It is the same gun.

Here is the link from the Rossi store for the full sized stock. It wasn't out of stock the other day. So I guess look out for it if you want.

Glad to hear the rifles are serving you well. Especially the Rossi. I absolutely hate the small stock on the compact and wish they just put a threaded barrel in the full sized. But it will be for a smaller statured person. So it will probably be an advantage.

Thanks for the review. Keep us updated! Happy shooting.

No problem. They have a wood one as well. It looks beautiful, but has been out of stock for ages.
