[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Mag Problem

Years ago I bought a crapload of G3 mags and never tested them(threw in safe) when I finally took them and my 91 clone to the range the last 2 rounds of EVERY mag would Double feed.

Whats wrong, Springs, Followers, feed lips WHAT?

Any help is appreciated and if it is the spring/followers where can I get new ones. Should I trash ALL the mags and get completely new ones?

The mags were bulk purchased through Cheaper than Dirt several years ago

More than likely it is the springs. Take a spring out and and give it a good stretching. Put it back in an see if the problem clears up. The "fix" won't last long but at least it will tell you if it is the springs. Where to get new ones? You got me on that one.

just buy more,, the mags are so damn cheap under 2$ at CTD,,, or just stretch the springs out a lil,, i have two stell G3 mags that do this every time,, kinda sucks,,dont it LOL

You can get used mags right now from Robert RTG. I've bought stuff from him and he's good to deal with.
