Is the Sig 556 magazine button the same as an AR15? I would like to put an oversized/extended one on. Thanks.

Disregard. They are the same. Took the time to swap them out from an AR to my Sig.

Didn't know that. Thanks for updating and providing that info.

Im going to order the Arredondo extention because it angles back twords the shooter and is larger. Ill post pics when I get it in. May be a fix to some complaints of the mag release being hard to get at.

It fits but does not extend it a whole lot more.  I have an extended mag realease in the works after the grip comes out.

Some of the oversized AR mag release buttons don't work on the 556. I think some of the ones with the large round head hit the fence around the button. There was a thread on SIGARMS556.com about this I believe.

This is correct, depending on which model of lower (original M4 stock or Classic) some will work , some won't.

Ok. Put the Arredondo on. It fits. Alittle play in it acuatlly. ALOT easier to release the mag while keeping your grip the same. Can even push the release with the stock folded.

However, the whole thing is plastic/polymer. Not sure how long it will hold up. It takes a bit to adjust the depth right. If you quickly slap the stock closed it will hit it and drop the mag. If you snap the stock in slowly it does not. The stock will flex just enough to contact it. If you set it any farther in the mag wont release.

Ill leave it on for now. To me my Sig is a fun range gun. This makes it even funner. Keeping the metal one in the parts bin though.

Sure would be nice to have a one piece metal extended one
