Cleaning a GSG magazine shouldn't be necessary until you've put at least 1000 rounds through one...
Generally, I take a terry-cloth (bath rag?) and lightly spray it with RemOil, and wipe the mouth of the magazine, making sure to touch the "nooks and crannys" with the cloth. Upon inspecting the interior of 3 of my 6 magazines (each of which have fed 100+ rounds), I found no substantial "trash" that would require one to clean the magazines for fear of them not operating correctly. Just my .02 - which isn't worth much these days!
