I bought one yesterday but don't have pics. I would assume they all look the same and you could just google it or post the pic from the S&W web site over and over and over. What's the point of a picture thread?

Tacticool22 long barrel shroud for non-threaded barrels. Attaches with a big set screw. Blue loctite on the barrel before sliding it on (tight tolerances), and blue loctite on the set screw and its good to go. Wife's has the threaded barrel and birdcage, but mine was bare and needed something.

Does anyone make something similar for the threaded barrels?

Yep. But I probably would have went with a Spikes Tactical one if I had had a threaded barrel. Little cheaper in price.

4.5" Barrel
Cut stock handguard
SWR Spectre II Suppressor
Spikes NiB Battle Trigger
KNS Pins
YHM 1/2" Riser / Burris 1/4" riser / Burris FastFire for absolute co-witness
MOE+ Grip with MIAD wedge
MOE Stock with Enhanced But Pad
Modified BAD Lever

Over the next few months I would like to wrap this build up. I cant tell you how happy I am with it though.

Cycles subsonics with no trouble. Keeps all bulk and most HV ammo subsonic. Have not heard a supersonic crack yet.

Here's mine. It started life as a standard model.

The pics suck(blurry), but I had fun messing around with the photo editor in Photobucket.

How many parts does the M&P15-22 share with the standard AR?

As in how many aftermarket parts are interchangeable?

Trigger, stock, and grip are all interchangeable. Rail is the standard size, barrel is threaded at 1/2 x 28.

The only 15-22 specific part I can think of is the safety selector due to the lower being slightly thicker. BAD lever has to be bent to fit, but works fine.

EDIT: They even have a barrel nut adapter to use any forend you would like.

The buffer tube is molded to the lower, but milspec in size.
The charging handle is 15-22 specific (aftermarket available)
The trigger guard is molded to the lower.
