What’s the deal with the threaded holes on the bipod feet? Can you buy accessories for them somewhere or has anyone outfitted them with shoes? I thought about some rubber pads, sort of like an athletic shoe so I could shoot off the hood of my car without scratching it. Or some spikes like golf shoes so I could shoot off the hood of somebody’s car who I don’t like and scratch it a lot. The little holes are a nice touch. Feel like I should be using them. Also, I would like to be able to limit the tilt so that it sits upright on its own. Has anyone done something fun or useful with their bipod? ETA pics for those unfamiliar with it. It is really cool. There are holes threaded where it looks made to accept screws to limit the twist. I’ll measure the thread. Maybe the holes are just a keeper for bolts to put in the limiter. I put a larger head screw on it, but that’s not ideal because there’s increased sheer strength against that tiny fastener. Put some washers on there to space it out, but couldn’t screw it in all the way because the threads feel boogered. Maybe it’s residual thread lock, but I may have hurt it. Only took the screw out and now it doesn’t wanna go back in, but the threads look fine. It will sit up right on its own now. That’s what I was after. This was just using what I had on hand. Sorry guys, real life kept me busy the last 24 hours. The holes in the feet are indeed for golf spikes for more purchase, just screw them in and you are good to go. You are also correct on the screw in the jam nut- part of the requested design was to have rotation limit on the bipod, but we could not make any changes to the existing barrel design, which had no flats or features on it. My solution was to put threaded holes in the jam nut so that one would pretty much invariably line up underneath at just about the 6 o'clock position, which gives you about 15-20 degrees of cant to either side IIRC. You could of course remove that screw (which is 8-32 threading as I recall) to let it rotate 360 around the barrel. Or put the screw on top, or multiple screws to get it limited to a certain rotation that makes you happy, but the way it is set up seems best for most people. Legs of course are just pull and they extend for quick deployment, press the spring loaded lever to push them back in. Legs can also be folded back against the barrel or forward if you choose (useful if you want to use the bipod on a shorter barrel) Ratworx also makes a picatinny mount version of the bipod, and in theory a shorter version and a separate leg picatinny or M-LOK mount version like the discontinued VLTOR bipod was supposed to come out, but those have not been made of yet.
