Hi folks -

Need some help here -

Recently came in to a Marlin Model 80 - It's in pretty good condition, and once cleaned/lubed correctly, is a tack driver.

I'd like to get a scope on it, see what this beautiful old gal can do at at 100 yards or so...

I need a scope mount. It's already tapped for the mount, but I'm having a hard time finding one.

I know, it's almost 50 years old, but what a great rifle...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks -

Here's a linky for a schematic of the Marlin 80. It doesn't make any mention of a proprietary scope mount so,

I do believe that what you have is a rifle that someone mounted whatever scope mount they had: leupold, weaver, Lyman, what ever.

What I would do is to take it to a gunsmith, and see which scope mount would line up with the already tapped holes.

Just google for 'model 80 scope mount.' There are mounts available.
