I'm going to post this in a couple of different forums so I hope I can reach someone who may know.

I recently acquired a Mauser 98, WW2 variety, in .22LR that was used as a German training rifle. Problem is the extractor retaining ring has broken, rendering the rifle unfireable.

I have looked in Numerich but they don't list any parts for the .22 caliber, only larger ones. I haven't called them yet either.

Any thoughts on where I could get one of these retaining rings?

Much thanks in advance.

I'd write, call, or email Gun Parts and jack First
http://www.jackfirstgun.com/

Often, these two have parts, but not enough to list.

Also, the German .22 trainers were copied by the Eastern European's, and the Chinese.
Copies were sold here about 10 years ago.  Possibly, the parts were interchangeable with yours.
