How rare are these?  I was playing Resident Evil 4 today and thought to myself, "I've never actually seen one in person."  What's a typical price for, say, one of the more common variants.  Oh, and if anyone's got one, please post pics

$1k+ seems to be what I see as the going price.  They look like fun though

1000 to 1200 for a decent one, Chinese imports can be had for 700 to 900.
I remember seeing them for 200 back in the day

Wall hanger before being sent to "The broom Closet" in FL. for a polish and re-blue, new springs and barrel re-lined to 9mm.

After face lift and new grips, a decent shooter.

About 3 years ago I picked up a nice shooter at a gunshow for $700.

It was refurbished by a company out of California called Federal Arms (I think). The company took old C-96s and rebarreled them to 9mm then reblued the guns. (again I think this was in the 1980s). The barrel has 9mm Parabellum engraved in German looking lettering on the left side of the barrel.

Lost all collector value, but I wanted a shooter not a safe queen.

Nice work - both of you!  America has enough "collectors" (I call them speculators/gun-fondlers) who have socked away these old guns without shooting them.

I see nothing wrong with turning the guns you had (probably NRA grade "fair to poor") into really sharp-looking shooters.  Now, every time you let a buddy try one at the range, they can know what it like to shoot an interesting piece of history.  Again - good job.

I have a WWI era C96 in poor shape. Do you have contact info for the Brrom Closet?

It took me several phone calls to get ahold of Tom.  Turn around time was quick and I thought easy on the pocketbook.  Good luck.
