I would but there is no visable way to post photos on AR 15!   Not even with a hosting site, which I don't use because of bad experiences with 2 or 3 of them.

I put this together in highschool.  IIRC, its a mix of czech vz24 and German k98 parts from two defunct rifles.  Lyman sights, home brew parkerizing, and a modified r700 short action Boyds stock (gutted then glass bedded). New barrel is .308 win.  Been a while since I shot it but it was doing about 1.5 moa 10 shot groups off a sandbagg.

My recently acquired Yugo refurbed kar 98k. It was drilled and tapped for a Lyman sight by the previous owner....
It is basically like a new rifle....not bad for $250.

Unissued M48. $150 back in '04. Still has the serial number written in pencil on the stock.

I'll see if I can find some goods pics of my other M48s and K98s.

Love seeing this post here. I just pulled my Swedish Mauser M96 out again for the first time in almost 20 years. Always kept it since I received it when I was 11 years old, and have only fired less than one box of ammo through it in all of this time.

Last night I pulled it apart for the first time and found some of the 100 year old packing grease under the barrel and in every other creavous. Took the time to properly clean it and prep it for some range time. I was very happy to find that all of the parts match, with exception of the cleaning rod which I hear is typical.

I picked up some ammo for it today and going to go shooting as soon as I can. Looks like the surplus ammo stock piles are all gone. Anyone have a source for surplus ammo, maybe some of the ammo made for the M41 series?

I'll get some pics of it tomorrow and post them. It isn't the most prestine Mauser, but its mine....
