What is the max case length. I found a spec of 3.902 for trim to length.....Should I extrapolate that to 3.912 as Max length?
I have once fired brass that I have resized in a Lee FL die.

I trim mine to 3.89

Only the M2HB brass gets trimmed alot. My bolt gun brass doesn't grow as fast. I can feel when it's getting a little long when chambering a round. How fast it 'grows' will depend on your load, chamber spec, and reloading dies.
