| Not in MI. The MI (state not federal) Attorney General can issue an opinion on the law. The courts, legislature, and others (ATF in this case) will base enforcement of the law based on what he says. Im sure they can be challenged in court but in the case of supressors, the ATF wouldnt approve the trans becuase of the old opinion. If you took possession otherwise you were in violation of Federal law. It sucked for a long time. At least our new AG fixed it becase the law was pretty clear that the licensing refered to the ATF approval process. |
