ok, I just got one of the new NRA Mini-14, and just wanted to know if there were any mags other then factory that are worth buying... I don't want to buy (10) 20rd factory mags at 50$$ a pop, but I will if that's the only way to get good mags...

The factory mags are pretty much the best you can get.

Get the factory mags and be done with it. I know it sucks at $50 a pop but you wont have to worry about reliability. John

I heard that CProducts was gonna get into the Mini-14 mag business...

They would probably make a good mag, and would stand behind whatever they sell.

Only the factory mags are any good. Too bad they cost so much.

There is another brand that is pretty good.  Unfortunatly the name is not on them.  I think I got them from Cabelas.  They work as well as my factory mags.

I'd recommend against anything but genuine Ruger 20rd mags.

If you really have your heart set on something else, I've been hoarding several new or nearly  new 30rd Thermold and PMI mags for the past 20 years.  Those are the only aftermarket mags I'd trust.

Let me know if you are interested.  Perhaps I'll put them up for sale on the EE.

Yeah, I think the ones I have besides the factory ones that I would also trust are the PMI's.
