Just curious. (if they're even allowed)

The one result, Aguila, says they work fine in a Win Defender 1300 which is what I have lol.

back in the old days, before Tactical Optics/Irons there were no limitations on the number of rounds in a mag at the start of a course....to level the playing field there is now... likewise the box  and drum fed autoloaders shoot in different class....the short Aquila shells work sometime in a pump, but not so well in an autoloader...at least they didn't in my 1100..... I used to hand load shot shells, so by applying a little more crimp and shorter wad, you could get a short shell, and on the 10 round magazines,  another round in a tube without shortening the spring

Depends on the rules of the match, and the class you're shooting in. If the mini-shells don't allow you to exceed the max number of shells in the tube for your class, you're good to go.

The Aguila shells run just fine in the Winchester 1300 series. I bought some of the slugs once to run in local matches. They were cheap and allowed me to get a couple extra shells in the gun. Unfortunately they were horribly inaccurate - like pie plate-sized groups at 20 yards - and left a bunch of unburned powder in the gun. I never really used them and I think I have a box of 20 still around somewhere. FWIW they also work in the Benelli Nova/SuperNova series.

Will Aguilas even knock steel poppers down? Even if allowed, I think they would lack the power you'd want to compete seriously.

You might also run into the problem of not having enough power behind it to knock over steel.
