I was talking to a coworker about contributing to a reloading setup that will be shared between three or four ppl. I first imagined a nice space all setup but he mentioned letting ppl take the equipment when needed.

Anyone have a portable setup? Can you put most thing in a well sorted pelican case and just find a good bench to clamp the press wherever you are?

It is a huge thread, but take a look at our Reloading Bench Picture Thread for ideas. Some guys have converted old ammo crates into mobile benches and stuff like that.

Benchrest shooters reload at the range during a match so they can custom tailor their loads to conditions.

Most of them have press and powder dispensers mounted on plates (steel, wood, aluminum) and use a c-clamp on them.

All that is needed to share is the bare basics.

About half way down on this page, azlester posted pics of a bench top for a B&D Workmate.

I think this would be a very sturdy yet portable set up.  You could mount the press to a quick removal plate mount like Lee's or a home brew set-up.  Then set up a pelican case for storing / transporting press, powder measure / scale, and all the rest and have an easily transportable rig.

Wish I'd seen this before building my range rig as I like it better.

I have a Lee Loader for most of my rifles and their 'breech lock loader' ?.

I also have a Rock Chucker and a Dillon 550.  Guess which I travel with.
