The bolt assembly has to bottom out somewhere. 
It looks like it's getting a running start before the recoil plate hits the lower. Maybe take the buffer detent out and try to increase spring tension against the conversion unit to keep it from shifting around. ETA: you could also try a polymer shim on the back of the recoil plate to fill the gap. |
