I did the online stuff - 4/30 and obviously will not be approved for a while. Since that time my wife and I started talking about moving and it might happen sooner rather than later. What do I need to do if the move comes before I get approved? Can I update my application? Will it mess up getting approved? I can't be the first person this has happened to and figured tossing the question out here will give me some ideas before trying to track down someone from the ATF to ask about this. It might not be an issue, but once my wife gets her heart set on something, well you know how that goes There is about a 75% chance we will be moving before I would expect to get approved.

It will be an in state move, but my concern is that the address I put on the application and that is on my trust will not be where I am living by the time it gets approved.
I told my wife we needed to stay in this house until it came back. She gave me "the look"

Aren't you able to forward the mail to the new address for a certain amount of time?
I'd just send them a letter to change the address to your new one once you get it and then don't worry about it after. Eventually (I remember it took awhile) they will send a letter back that their records are updated with your new address. |

The address on the form is where you'll "store" the item. The trusts address is just the address when you created the trust. Just to clear that up. But the rest of what was said by others is correct. |
