what is a good suppressor for a full auto mp5? I have a clone and in the future I will get a sear. thanks

I use a Gemtech Raptor, as it's convenient with the 3 lug QD mount.

I use the Raptor as well.  It is lightweight and suppresses very well

Only one answer, Agenda Six.

Gemtech MK9K. For the same reasons as you, clone MP5 and MP5K with plans for a sear down the road.

I have several other popular modular 9mm suppressors, and some 9mm sub gun cans.

For the mp5 platform the MK9K is the king for sound reduction and no blowback. It is also user serviceable, an important feature.

I have an AAC Stryker II that I use on a full auto MP5 and I like it. I have put thousands of rounds through it.

Gemtech MK-9K, built for subguns. I run it on MP5 also and it works fantastic.

I love the look of the Mk-9k on an MP5k pdw, but is a 20oz large volume can overkill for a semi-auto clone? Thoughts?

I was going to suggest the MK9K as well since it was the first can I ever shot on my MP5 clone - the only drawback is that they are not a REGULARLY produced model.  When they get enough orders, they produce them in a batch much like their 3-lug adapters.

I don't currently have my own sear, sometimes I make range trips with others who do.

In semi it is superior for sound reduction and no blowback. In auto it is superior for sound reduction and no blowback.

I primarily run a SWR Trident-9 on my MP5.

Also have a AAC Evo-9 with a three lug adapter I have used a handful of times on my MP5.

Evo pretty much lives on pistols and the Trident on the MP5 nowadays.

MK-9K hands down for a sub-gun can.
Call Phil at Gemtech and get serialized back mounts made to run 3-lug/thread/Uzi.
Just spin the back cap off and move it to a different subgun host.

SMG cans we only build once a year. The MK-9K is currently out of stock, but some of the distributors may have some in stock?

The Raptor-II is currently in stock at Gemtech.

3-Lug mounts are in stock.

My local PD uses a Gemtech Trinity on their MP5's with a three lug mount.

Not sure if its the best can for an SMG, but it does a darned good job.

I use my octane 9hd on my k clone and I'm pleased with it.

If I could afford a sear, I could probably afford a dedicated sub gun suppressor to get even better results.

What caliber mp5?  For my mp5 pdw I use an SWR trident 9 with 3 lug mount.  For my mp5/10 I use a KAC navy 10mm on the factory threads.

+1

There is no replacement for volume in a subgun can.

Like others said, you are at Gemtech's mercy as to when they are going to make more. That company squarely has it's head in it's ass as to how they can stay competitive. They have a great niche product that is at least 20 years old but still works well, has no exact equal, yet they refuse to keep it in stock. I wonder if they are surprised when people ask about that can and then are never heard from again?

If you don't want/need a dedicated can (which imo for a subgun makes sense only by volume of fire), then the Octance9 would definitely be my pick for a multi-use.

Mk9k is probably the best I have experience with.   The YHM Cobra is shockingly good for a pistol can with a 3 lug mount.
