Any ideas were to get clothing and other equitment at a REASONABLE price???

[#1]
Whats a reasonable price to you?

You can get the proper BDU or ACU cut cammies for not much more than their traditional clothing costs.

Propper and Tru-Spec both have sets you can get for less than $60 for a shirt and pants.
I don't know if you can get a pair of good jeans and a decent shirt for that price......

Tactical Tailor for MC, Emdom USA for the gear

The most affordable right now would be the Propper followed closely by the Tru-Spec.

Right now Tru-Spec is being sold over at the Equipment Exchange on this forum for:

A.  $49.00 each for top or bottom ACU cut.

B.  $39.00 each for top or bottom BDU cut.

The best place I know of for Propper is through Vermont's Barre Army/Navy store or BDU.com (thanks exocet).

1.  $39.00 each for top or bottom ACU cut.

2.  $29.99 each for top or bottom BDU cut.

I think the ACU cut is the only way to go really, but as you can see you can save by going with the BUD if you're on a real tight budget.

I mean really at those prices the only thing cheaper would be to find some used woodland BDU's at some local PX store.

As far as kit it really is item specific on what you want.

bdu.com has some great prices as well.

Pretty much.

All you need is the low growl noise they make and a triple laser aiming device that forms a triangle and you're good to go.

ive ordered many things from barre army navy.  was going to order from bdu.com, but they are horrible on shipping.  free shipping would not apply, and $23 for usps instead of the flat rate.

as for gear, Tru-Spec is comming out with stuff soon that will be cheaper. I do have sum of their pouches and there not bad. as good as TT, well no, but you are asking for 'reasonable' prices.

now the pics are from here:http://www.sealsactiongear.com ( use the search for multicam and these are on page 2

now it does not say these are the tru-spec, but they LOOK just like the ones I have ( in evil black )

US Cav will be carring the tru-spec pouches, but I do not know when.

Good, more ar15.com members will be able to transition to multicam then.

Anyone know how multicam does in a desert environment?  I'm using the army digital ACUs right now for coyote hunting and I think it does pretty good depending what brush I'm sitting up against.

+1 on the Transformers DVD you'll be able to see just how well multicam breaks up a person's outline.

Now I heard there were color differences between the two makers.  Who's is better?

the color difference is due to the type of fabric, and not really a color difference per say.
it's really not as noticeable as the pic shows. it all goes together.

a Tru-spec shirt and an SKD shirt:

twill light and 725 denier cordura:

as to which is better...thats still an on going debate. there have been several threads about this. I don't think any of them are 'bad', it just depends what fabric and features you want ( and how much you want to pay )

Actually there is a color shift from one end of a fabric repeat to another. One end being slightly greener and the other being slightly browner.

It's intentional. I read about it on Crye's web site.
