| I've found ponchos in UCP, Marpat. OD, ect but nothing in multicam. Anyone have a lead as to where to get a standard military style poncho in multicam? I'd like a liner too but would settle on an OD or woodland MARPAT liner. |
Eggrolio: I thought you got that memo... Multicam is sooo ubertactical that the raindrops can't find it. |
well my problem was right there, and yes it could be made for way less to D.I.Y , but you have to jump through hoop's to get fabric from Crye ( and I may yet try again ) I like the idea of a shelter in MC, then for 'rain protection' per-say, but since you can do both with a poncho...... |
| This is the closest thing I've found to a multicam poncho... |
He's refering to the Tru-spec jacket thats 'only' $120. He kinda sorta works for Tru-spec the Propper jacket is the $350 one-which has been delayed again ![]() maybe we need to start a letter writing campain for Crye to make the fabric |
The more that ask about making H2O Proof Bivy Covers, the better. |

Wiggy's has got some kind of cotton/poly Multicam that they use as an option on the "Alaska Range" parka shell. I wonder what it's like, and if it is something I could get custom-made into a bivvy sack from them. They offer a UCP bivvy sack already.
Actually I'll probably revert to Woodland if Wiggy's still stocks it in bivvy sacks. I want to get a large/long FTRSS from them before my ID expires and I lose my military discount there. |

Just wanted to check and see if anything ever poped up about a MC poncho. it look's like there might be one comming soon ( at least the fabric to make one ) I was bored, so I looked around Duro's web site and got http://www.duroindustries.com/index.php?page=70d-1-9oz-nylon 70D 1.9oz Nylon FR Coated This will be an IR compliant Fire Retardant product. The product will be back coated with 1-1.25 oz/yd2 of urethane providing superior protection from the elements. This is a non-breathable item and will be face treated with a durable water repellant finish. This product will meet CPAI-84 fire protection. This product is suitable for items such as tents and light weight ponchos. the info page http://www.duroindustries.com/uploads/NEW%20MULTICAM%20PRODUCTS%203.3.09.pdf |

I'm going to get some of the 70D waterproof stuff from Duro to make a Bivy sack unless Atlanco makes some in H2O Proof. ETA: Pic of Survival Solutions MC Poncho:

if you make a bivy sack, mind posting a how to/step by step thread on it? I hope as this and more fabric comes out, that it will 'open up' the market on different stuff. I'm still waiting for some one to come out with a M65 type coat in multicam |

Thanks for passing along that info. I ordered one even though I found it a bit unsettling that they post no contact info other than an email address (and that's not even a .com). I guess I just have to go on faith sometimes... Has anyone actually got hands-on this thing yet ETA: I am, in no way, expecting this to be true CRYE material but figured "what the hell - I waste more money than that in one night at a bar..." ![]() I'll report with pics when (if) I get it. |
| My group ended up getting M/C tarps made by Jack Markey over at Jaxpax. They turned out friggin great. They way they were made was identical to ICE tacticals or the British basha. He also made an pretty awesome cold steel tomahawk case. |

ETA: I am, in no way, expecting this to be true CRYE material why do you say that? Crye does not make any fabric them self's, they license companys to do so, there were several that made it at one time. but anything is possible.... say how does Pay pal work? I've never used that. I just came on line to place that order, but came here first |
