| Are there any manufacturers on non-ballistic carrying vests in multicam out there? Crye used to make the range vest, but discontinued them years back. With combat shirts on the market with lighter fabric torsos and thicker sleeves, you'd think someone would make something to cover the torso with multicam. I'm not talking about vests that contain soft armor either. Just your regular variety vest. Thanks. |
| Yeah. You'd figure there would be a market for a basic vest in multicam. Simple and useful. You can go to the mall and find 100 different makers of vests in fleece, poly, nylon or cotton, but nobody in the tactical world makes one in multicam. I bid on an old Crye range vest on ebay, but it went for over $200. |

We've been playing around with a design recently specificly to address the problem of guys getting grief about wearing combat shirts around. What we've come up with is just what some of you guys are talking about, we call it our FOB Vest. It's made of the same material as the BDU shirts to provide modular solution to the combat shirt grief. We're going to be doing them in Multicam as well as UCP. I'm going to post a quick picture to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

But 
you guys use a lite color also   but part two, yours does have a bit more tan in it then the others,so thats a start.
anyway to do a "custom" order with the darker color as the base 
I'll think about it. I do like the 'vest' ( well when it comes out in multicam  )

The vest is still in the T&E stage, we're getting feedback on them. As to whe we'll have them in production, I can't see us getting them in the rotation before August. I'll let everyone know when we've got them.
As to the DA Shirts body fabric, there isn't as much choice at this time for that type of fire retardant fabric, but we'll see what the fabric industry has in mind down the road. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me directly [email protected] Cheers, Paul |
