Recently picked up my 1st SKS, and shot it this past weekend. Norinco /26\, 1980 vintage, 16" paratrooper - $250. Excellent condition, other than the blemishes on the stock. #'s matching, VERY little wear  Shot around 2&1/2 inches at 100yds with Chicom 1968 surplus and open sights.
Paid the transfer fee this morning on my 1st K31. Ships in the morning, will be here Wed., and in my hot sweaty paws SHORTLY thereafter   It's a 1956 vintage, VG Beech stock, 80% metal, troop tag - $175, also #'s matching. Hope to be at the range this weekend 
I'm like a 6 year old waiting for Granny to take me to the soda shop downtown again    Now all I gotta do is feed 'em

Howdy haLfLife. You did indeed see my posts on that board with the same username  I also lurk here often  Got the K31 from Allens Armory. Great guy to deal with! *Supposed* to be here tomorrow (who knows with UPS), and in my sweaty paws SOON thereafter. I hope it's tomorrow, I can barely stand the anticipation  Also scored 200 rounds of Privi 174gr FMJ, reloadable brass ammo for $146, including S&H. Looks like 'Honey' will be here before the ammo - bummer! I guess I'll just have to spend the time getting to know her

K31's IMHO are some of the best engineered/accurate rifles you can get your hands on to date. I just purchased my 3rd K31 from Simpsons LTD this morning, you should look into them at some point if you ever buy another. They are top notch when it comes to dealing in Swiss rifles. |
'Preciate the congrats  I can all too easily see my milsurp collection growing in a BIG way  As far as the K31, it's not 'if' - it's when. Been wanting one for a long time, and hit on this one after a friend let me shoot his a couple weeks ago. That settled it ! Can't wait to fondle her Hope to take her on a date the 14th, if so, range report will follow
