If I'm going to send in one form 1 for an SBR and another form 1 for a suppressor, I know its $200 for each stamp but can I only send in 1 set of fingerprint cards or do I have to send in a set for each stamp?

I have HEARD one set is fine, but I would call the people in WV to be sure. They usally answer the phone and are very responsive. Afterall it's best to get it straight from the hourse's mouth. - (304) 616-4500

Yes, if you are sending in all of the forms together, you can just send in 2 print cards.

You said that you are doing a form 1 on a suppressor. Does this mean you want to build your own suppressor? If this is the case, then , ok.  But if you are taliking about purchasing a silencer then, it will be a form 4 transfer.

Oops.....yes you are right. So then can I send the form 1 with the form 4 from the dealer together with the same set of cards?

Nope. Form 1s must be sent to W.Va., Form 4s go to Chicago, and there's only about a one-in-twelve chance that they will ever cross the same desk at BATF.

So you need to send two sets of fingerprint cards (one set in each package).

No. On the top right of the form 4, it gives you a Chicago IL address with a P.O. box #. The form 1 will do the same, with a Washington D.C. However, since the recent ATF move to W VA, form 1's can be mailed to the new W VA office.

So, in recap--

Form 4--Goes to Chicago with 2 print cards
Form 1--Goes to the W VA office with 2 print cards.

There is also a good SBR F&Q sticky in the Class III forum.

Hope this helps.
