Approximately 200yds I hit a one gallon milk jug with one shot from my SAR-8, iron sights. I was, of course, bracing myself up on a stump. What do you seasoned sharp shooters think? |
You forgot the part about being able to pour himself a drink with the first shot.

One shot only counts if you can do it over and over and over again. Put those milk jugs at unknown ranges, rig it so they move at a slow/medium/brisk walk pace and pop it over and over and over again with one shot. Then when you're happy and content,... replace the mild jugs with soda cans.... then with a baseball, then golf balls (not that a SAR8 could reliably hit it- but the practice is good) etc...... Never be happy with what you can do. You can always do better with practice. |
