Folks. Now that Camp Perry is a done deal we are expanding our scope of operations. I have been in contact with 3 military bases and I am working on the details to get us into the following bases. Fort McCoy, WI Fort Knox, KY and Fort Hood, TX All have 1,000 yard ranges. The jewel will be Fort Hood which has infantry pop up targets at distance up to 2,000 yards. You can't make an omlette with out breaking a few eggs! Nick |

More information as Follows. First Contact has been made at Fort Drum, NY I have the powers to be asking if soldjers would be welcome to shoot with us. The answer.......OF Course! They have a 500 yard range available with electronic scoring. This is not a 1,000 yards but it is a place to shoot at 500 yards. I will keep you folks posted as we progress. Please feel free to drop in on out forums for information as well. northcoastshooters.com Nick |

Folks, Fort McCoy is tossing road blocks at us at the moment. I do not know how this is going to play out yet. They are recieving federal funding and there is a mandate in place that they cannot refuse to allow civilian access to the facility while recieving federal funds. Fort Hood TX should not be a problem I have been in contact with them. Fort Drum NY has been EXTREMLY co-opertive in assisting getting our ducks in order for requesting thier ranges. I just left Fort McCoy actually, and the 1000m range they have is alright, but I used it for the Browning M2 on FA so wasn't to hard to mow down the targets ;) But also I know right around this part of the year Fort McCoy shuts down a lot of it's stuff, because the mobilization season for National Guard soldiers is over. Well good luck on getting in, they are tight asses there! Andrew |
