Cool!
Where did you stamp the info on the receiver?

Under the pistol grip on the flange works nicely.

When you say "Under the pistol grip..." do you mean you have to REMOVE the pistol grip to read the info? If so, that is very cool. I always presumed the info had to be out in the open, readily available.

Yes, you are correct. Thus no messing up your original finish with misc "jibberish". Who cares about the grips' flange, not a looked at item.

Thanks SBR7_11. I always presumed the markings had to be in the open.

Now I'll have to rethink making my pre-be Colt into an SBR. I didn't want to mess up the receiver.

Yup, thanks a lot.

Nice looking SBR.

Not crazy about the forward mount pistol grip, but if you like it, that's what counts.

Hope I can post a pic of one some day. Money never seems to go far enough.

BATF requires markings be visible with out dissassembly of the firearm.  Marking must be on the registered part of the NFA weapon.

We have solved the problem of defacing the firearm by marking in various places.

On our Auto$Burglar 9" double barrel 20ga Pistol grip AOW shotguns we mark them on the table.  This is the flat serface you see when you open the action to load or unload the gun.  The Dennys Guns, NKC marking is not visible until you open the action, no disassembly is required to see the marking and it approved by BATF.

On M16 or SBR AR15's we do we mark either inside the magwell or just above the rear of the pistol grip both are unobtrusive to the looks of the gun.

Very nice but I would like to have one of these someday too.
