I am in my first year of Law School and I cant find anyone at school that knows anything about NFA TRUST.  Be there any of you ARF.com'ers out there that care disclose a PDF Document of your NFA Trust for a said amount of $$$$ that a broke Law Student can afford?

I was just about to post something similar.  Is anyone willing to post an example of how a NFA Trust document should be written?  I would like to D.I.Y. it, but want to be sure there is no trouble in the future.

Thanks Bud! I had seen this post earlier.  I just emailed David Goldman to get this piece handled correctly.

I just spoke with David today and am having them draw up my trust.

Should have it done within 7 days.

I'm curious about the cost as well.  The article mentions being "competitive" with the various Legal Software/Online services.  Just wondering, "how competitive"?  If not comfortable discussing on forum...a PM would be appreciated as well.

Also...can a lawyer in the State of XX provide legal Trust services to out of state clients?  ie. FL lawyer setup up trust for clients in a different state?  Would that be out of his jurisdiction/state bar?  Or is a Trust generic enough, that the state wouldn't matter so much?

The service is usually around $600 barring in special complications.  Also he has attorneys nationwide in ever state that work under his umbrella.  Spend the money and have piece of mind

Trust paperwork received today.  Slightly more than 24 hours.

I plan on having it finalized Friday when I have the time to setup a bank account in the trust name, and that I can get it signed/notarized, and a Form 1 out the door the same day.

A form 4 will take a bit longer, as I don't know what I want to get yet.

On a side note, I called a local firm that does estate planning and trusts yesterday, and the lady called me back today.

She didn't have a clue about doing a Gun or NFA Trust, but she is into firearms, and her husband is too.

I clued her in on the NFA Trust Blog, and said the forces of good can use more lawyers.

Trust paperwork signed and notorized this afternoon.

Gotta send a copy back to the law firm, and need to make a digital copy on disk for putting in the safe, and printing copies of the declaration.

Other than that, its time to open a bank account for my trust, and fill out my Form 1's and send them in.

I really want to get a can as well.
