The state I live in is not NFA friendly, however I own a 2nd home in a state that is.  Can I set up an NFA trust in the state that is friendly and keep the NFA items owned by the trust in that state.  My guess would be yes since it is a separate entity from me personally but nothing to do with guns seems common sense.

I've searched for the answer but couldn't find the answer.  Thanks for your help.

Well in case it ever comes up again I contacted 2 lawyers in the state and the one that replied that yes it would be legal.  I am awaiting the second to respond to see if he agrees especially since he is a lawyer and a class III dealer.

Not a lawyer but I would say that is fine. Actually u can setup a NFA trust even if u only had one home and it was in a state that banned NFA items, you just couldn't ever have the NFA items in that state. On the ATF website it discusses how a person who moves to a NFA restricted state can choose to keep their items at a friends house but they must be locked up in atleast a hard case, it also talks about storing them in a safety deposit box. So u could store at a family's house and go shooting when u visit

Thanks for the response, again it makes sense but then again we are talking about firearms.

Yes you can, if the NFA items stay in the state where it is not illegal to own, nothing illegal about it.
