I scored some 9mm bullets at an estate sale today and am wondering if the forum can help me identify them (brand, model)...  I don't feel like I have to know to work up loads, but I am curious.

115gr JHP (got 2179 of these for $120):

124gr RN (got 639 of these for $20):

I would name those...9mm!

I'm gonna guess that the 115gr JHP is bulk Winchester.
And the Ball is also probably Winc. bulk ...... Midway used to sell a boatload of bulk componants.

I was thinking the same for the RN, but hoping the HPs were a little higher end.  I feel pretty good about the price - looking forward to shooting them.

I'm sure you feel great about the price!

Roughly 2800 bullets for $140 ..... .05 cents per bullet.

Your guess is correct on the JHP's. I still have 1k of those I got from Midway in the 90's.

Never did quite figure out why the cannellure though.

The fold of the jacket for the FMJ bullet  at bottom does not look Winchester to me.. Winchester seems to have a longer ogive nose bullet if I recall.. Maybe Rem or Magtech ?

Can't recall, never thought much about them until you posted pics. I wrote the details on the box when they came in. I do that.

I agree the HP's look like Winchester. I used to buy there 125gr .357 and the design looks very similar.

And another vote for Winchester on the JHP's. I've shot a lot of those and they shoot just fine.

Thanks, everyone!  I've got a small test batch loaded up - just hoping I can get to the range for a bit after work tomorrow!

Yep the 115's are old school winchester JHP, I had ~6000 of those in bulk with Winchester labels on the boxes back in the mid to late 90's. I used to use them for my Glock 17 and STI 38 Super Open/limited pistols till I finally used most of them up, they were a good bullet.
