NSN search says it's a;
REMOVER, PIN........... Doesn't say what it's for, but it is discontinued. The Army bought 3 of them in 2009 at a cost of, get this $177.07 each. Prior to that they were $31.30. http://www.bidlink.net/nsn_search |

only the US Govt could have a 7 page buy order and the most detail about the item is remover pin.
quite a few ordered in 1996, then 3 last year as an emergency order. Odd. Probably not grease gun related. Wonder what the heck it could be. Might need to see if the receiver address is on there, I will mail it in and claim $177 as a tax deduction, lol... |

It could be grease gun related. My Brother was an Armor Company Commander back in the 90's and all the M1A1's still had grease guns. I believe he turned in the companies Grease guns for M4's around 1999/2000ish. |
