[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Navy lower question

I picked up a stripped Sringfield Armory plastic lower for what I believe to be for their old SAR8....
My question is....it is stamped Springfield Armory, Geneseo IL...but was it actually made in US? I have 922 compliance to deal with...
it is a FA lower, found 7/2/77 code inside (I plan on clipping and pinning)
Oh, picked it up for $6.00

That lower was imported and then stamped by Springfield who were the company that imported it here. So, no it is not a US part.

Springfield didn't use "navy" lowers.

I am new to HK's.......weren't these made in Greece?
The grip is nearly identical to the grip on the steel ones, just a tad smaller.
