| Hey all, I need to get a posty welded up and know there are a few great smiths out there but not sure who is still around. What recommendations do you guys have to get this welded and finshed? |

Especially if restoring it and depending on what sections you have and how they are cut. I've seen some kits that are so perfect all you do it bolt the rails to the receiver sections and weld it back up. Others, like mine, were missing entire chunks. |

I had one for the 42 from BRP that was almost close enough to went to a front half and install rails. Except all the rail and recouperator holes were in the wrong spot and had to be moved then welded back up. And the back where the top cover latches was out of spec and had to be removed and lifted. An original that you can just bolt the rails in would be very easy. Bolt in rails, hold flat, tack it, remove rails and finish the welds. |
