A friend gave me some Protech level III plates for duty in the event of an active shooter, but I want to find out more about them. I have searched for some time but have come up with nothing. Here is the info:
PROTECH Model: 2013 Plus Threat Level: Type III (IAW NIJ STD 0101.03) 10x12 Date Issue: 11/02 Serial: 0211PL360 Lot: SSP-12 I know they are 10 yrs old, but they are like new. I am familiar with NIJ standards. I'm just curious what they are made of and if they have any multi-hit capabilities. Or if they just scream "I'm fake!" I have to trust my life to these, so as much info as possible would be very helpful. TIA |

TIA I dont know anything about those plates but protech is approved by the NIJ and IMO you should be able to trust any product from a company on this NIJ list. http://www.nij.gov/nij/topics/technology/body-armor/compliant-ballistic-armor.htm |
