Well came back from the range and the AXR went through 300 rounds of Fiocchi, Wolf Military Classic, Black Hills, and Remington UMC. The rifle was a complete tack driver to 150m , didn't test farther out. Only problem I have had with this rifle is when I try dissasembling the rifle I get to the bolt carrier group. Every set of instructions I've seen states to rotate the firing pin 90 degrees counter clockwise and the pin should be removable along with the bolt. Unfortunately all I can get the damn pin to move is 45 degrees. Does anyone know of any method to remove the firing pin short of breaking it? http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc105/badgerdog76/pics/IMG_0255.jpg Pliers? |

I had the same problem as you. Compared to the service AUGs I've encountered in the Irish Army, the firing pin is STIFF. I had to put a lot more force into turning the thing than I was comfortable with. Once it came out, though, I knew what it would take, and I don't consider it excessive any more. I just consider the Irish ones easier!
