Just got my Warlock II. On the AR-15 it's nice but not great. Can anyone recommend a .22 bolt rifle that's threaded from the factory? And inexpensive - this is a one-trick pony.

Savage FV-SR is what you seek for a factory-threaded .22 bolt rifle on the cheap.

Savage FV-SR or Ruget American

Cz 452 is nice too. I have an fvsr I am very pleased with.

I vote for the Savage MkII FV-SR

Savage MkII FVSR (but you'll probably end up upgrading the stock like the rest of us).  The TRR-SR comes with the better stock, but has an overly longish barrel :)

The savages routinely shoot close to 1moa at 50y with decent ammo.  With a Sparrow on there I had an RO ask if the gun had even fired.  Yup, it's just quiet.

Another MK II FV-SR owner here. Put the Boyd Tacticool stock, a Muller 4.5x14 APV, Burris Xtreme low rings and a 6-9 bipod and I am pleased with the end result. A very affordable alternative.

Even though I have a pair of FV-SR's, I'm seriously looking at the Ruger American Rimfire. You can actually dry fire the Ruger, it comes with a high comb recoil pad and if they have it thraeded to 0.4" then that's another reason to consider the American Rimfire over the FV-SR.

I have the Savage FV-SR and CZ 452 16" American and the CZ is awesome while the Savage works fine for less. I have a Ruger American threaded on the way too. If the Ruger shoots well I may ditch the Savage.

Do you have a Ruger 10/22?

If yes, the answer is a threaded American.  Same mags as the 10/22.  Also making the RAR one of the few bolt guns with an available, factory 25rd mag.

If no, the answer is what is wrong with you; get a 10/22 and a RAR.

Another savage FV-SR fan here.  Love this rifle.  May want to swap out a Boyds stock for the crappy factory one. My Spectre II will be here today!

Ruger American Threaded.  For the price, this is the best value on the Market.  The Savage everybody else is talking about is decent, but I was unimpressed by the action, the stock, and the magazine.

For you guys running the ruger american 22 did you upgrade the stock or leave it factory? Any pics? Im in the same boat as the OP right now and trying to make a decision.

My FV-SR shoots one hole at 25 yards and is compact with the factory stock. Magazine is not the best build quality but works fine so far.

I've been set on an FV-SR for a while but the Ruger American seems like a pretty good deal for not much more. The stock is way better than the FV-SR factory stock, and it takes a better magazine.

Hahaha what this guy said for sure! I've got three and rotate my two cans between them. Love them, and super accurate and stupid quiet with wolf match

I'm glad I poked into this thread. Now I'm getting a ruger american threaded. The magazine interchangeability is a HUGE selling point.

My friends new RAR threaded + my Isis22 + some other guys CCI subs = giggle quiet.

I had shot subs from a 10/22 and my Isis22, I thought I knew quiet.

I plan to SBR my 10/22 and get a RAR threaded and a pile of BX25s.

Try CCI CB longs or shorts, if you can find them.

This thread is making me reconsider. Being able to use the same mags as a 10/22 is pretty sweet. I guess it'll come down to what cabelas has, or just get both. Boyds makes tacticool stocks for both the fvsr and the rar.

This. Bought mine from buds for something like $190, thing is a laser beam with CCI SV.

I have an FV-SR already and do not own a 10/22. If I already had a 10/22 the American would be a done deal.

Not knocking my Savage, it is a sweet suppressor host for sure. I use a SS Sparrow on mine. Sounds like a pellet gun with CCI SV or any of the sub rounds I have tried so far.

Once you've spent time on cz 452/455, the accuracy of the others doesn't compare.  Cz has a factory threaded moddle. Not to mention the 455 has the ability to change barrels/calibers with ease.  That sparrow can cover them all... The only place to go after the cz is the anschutz and berretta.
But get both.
