I have a chance on a "lightly"  used SPAS 12, asking  $900, think I can talk him down to $800, any thoughts

Cumbersome and unreliable in SA.

Too expensive at any price.

Hey, you asked.

I would not buy it for one reason Franchi offers no parts for it in the USA. I got this from there rep at the NRA show. nice heavy and kewl

I though about getting one but it was really a hollywood love of the firearm.  It's not anything special and just really heavy.  I got a Benelli M4 and paid $999 (good deal though) and it is a much better combat shotgun.  Just food for thought.  IF and only if it has a pushbutton safety (not the lever style) and the full length mag tube and full 21" barrel, folder and hook would I even consider picking it up...even for that price.  And that's only for the collectors value of it.  They're neat shotguns but the pump/auto function isn't really that practical and the buffers wear out and good luck getting another.  Just food for thought.
