| I'm looking at the Microtech Ultratech Tanto, and the MOD Harkins Triton Tanto. Both plain edge, no serrations. They're both the same price (where I'm buying from), so that's not a deciding factor. I want to know which one will be more durable and robust for actual use. I already know all about the OTF knives being finicky and they need to be clean and all that. I also know that Microtech's customer service sucks and I may as well forget about warrenty repairs if needed. How is MOD's customer service? I like the looks of the Microtech more, and the location of the switch. It also looks slimmer so it'll sit in the pocket better. I've been lusting over one of these for a loooong time, and I was going to purchase it, but then I saw the MOD tanto OTF, and now I can't decide. Please help! Thanks! |

when was the Microtech made, It should have a date on it.
I have many Microtechs and they have all been amazing in everyway. I have heard that the very recent ones have had some QC issues. As far as I know they have also stopped making knives completly in order to make that ugly ass rifle Basically if it is older Microtech is the only way to go. |

Microtech is still making knives and the quality is great. I ate lunch with the guy making them just yesterday! |
